Joelle:- I started out when I was 19 years old

Joelle: You can not compare, given our cultural deference’s -SA fashion is a little more conservative where's in UK for example -they have a more "Carte Blanche" approach... Which keeps my job very interesting.

Joelle: I've learnt to handle life- one day at a time.

Nosihle: Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Joelle: If I'm not Modeling, I imagine I'd be back pursuing my dreams of being a Doctor or Teacher but then again- They say "if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans"

Joelle: For a start you will need a good agent and assuming you have all the modeling requirements  the rest is all your Will to see it through.

Joelle: I'd say I'm a T-shirt and Jeans girl, with a hint of Bling when the occasion calls for it.

Celebrities wearing Turbans

The turban has been around for ages. Screen sirens from the ‘40s and ‘50s regularly drew inspiration from the Middle East, wrapping their heads with colorful fabric. The head wraps saw a revival in the ’70s with more of a hippie-inspired vibe, and these days we’ve seen turbans grace the Spring/Summer 2011 runways of designers like Jason Wu, Milly and Issa.
We’ve seen the headpiece adorn the heads of celebs and fashion icons from Zoe Kravitz to Carrie Bradshaw, Shala Monroque to June Ambrose. It’s been turned into everything from a statement-making accessory to a wardrobe staple.
Turbans can be fun, elegant and chic. Plus, they’re a great way to cover a bad hair day.
But a turban can go wrong really easily.
For instance, your headwear should never compete with the rest of your ensemble. It’s a statement piece, so you should let it shine. The fabric, color and print of your turban are key. Anything too shiny, too bright or too busy can translate easily to “too much.” Finally, wrapping and securing your turban in a sleek, effortless way is a must if you don’t want to look sloppy.
What we haven’t seen yet, however, is many people working the turban on the street.

How to wear Maxi Skirts

I love the Maxi Skirt, it comes in a variety of colours, designs and fabrics.  The different styles include plain, printed, drapery and shrunken. They can be wild flowing or tight fitted skirts.
The Maxi skirt can be worn as casual day wear or classy evening wear.
If you wearing the skirt in the evening make sure it’s with a blouse and high heels.
They can be worn with vests or tops or shirts. If it’s cold wear the skirt with a denim jacket or biker jacket or a blazer.
Your shoes should match your look whether its casual wear or evening wear.  If it’s casual you can put on sandals or pumps or brogues. If you are wearing a formal maxi skirt wear it with heels.
A handbag or satchel or oversized clutch would work perfectly with your outfit.
You could also wear the skirt in colour blocking style or layer it.
The best thing about the maxi skirt is that it can be worn by all women of shapes and sizes. To top it off the skirts are very comfortable.

Lessons learned...

I have learned that when I embrace my own journey I am freed from hating on other people's blessings because I understand that everything happens in its own time.

I have learned that only the strong survive.  Life is not easy but if I am resilient during my weakest moments I can conquer any challenges that I am faced with.

I have learned to be grateful for the life that I have because I realise some people have bigger problems.

I have learned to embrace my flaws because I know I can only give the world my best when I'm authentic.

I have learned that not everyone will see my worth and it's okay.

I have learned that just because I choose to have a positive attitude doesn't mean I won't experience any negative feelings.

I have learned that I don't need a man to feel loved. Love surrounds me; it’s in me, my friends and family.

I have learned to share the good and bad events that happen in my life with people who only have my best interests.

I have learned that my lowest moments are often lesson disguised in a crisis.
